DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Our client is a well-established farm business located in the Hepburn Shire town of Smeaton, Victoria. The farm specialises in mixed cropping, and potato cultivation and also manages cattle and some sheep. The business is committed to continuous growth and is seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Hand to join the team.
- As a Farm Hand, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the business. Your responsibilities will include;
- Assisting with all aspects of crop cultivation
- Caring for livestock (cattle and sheep)
- Operating and maintaining farm equipment
- Assisting with general farm maintenance, infrastructure improvements and repairs
What will you be doing?
- To be successful in this role, you should have;
- Livestock experience, especially cattle and calf operations
- Experience with tractor operations and general farm machinery
- Proficiency in general maintenance tasks including irrigation and fencing
- A passion for agriculture and a commitment to sustainable farming practices
- A driver’s license and reliable transportation
